Is it me or are RSX's really catching on?

I know that they are selling pretty well but I've defintely seen a lot more lately and most with at least rims or an exhaust. These things really do seem to be catching on as the next integra or civic (Yeah I know they are the integra resplacement but I didn't think they would catch on this quickly). Has anyone else noticed this? They are definitely growing on me.

On a side note a Talon tried to race me earlier today. Didn't sound blown and I almost took the bait but my mother is in town visiting and when she heard the engine begin to roar (my engine) she yelled at me not to race! I know the DSMs can be nasty but I wanted to see if this guy was a poser or the real deal! Oh well, I had to oblige mom!

Not a good move, the RSX-S can take a TL-S. 6speed. It doesnt have as much power, but it doesnt have all the weight either

Yeah, maybe if the guy can drive. The potential is there, but as we all know, a lot of numbers depend on the driver.

As for the RSX, I don't think it's a big increase in them. Pretty much normal, or as expected, to me.

theres tons of them where I live, but interestingly not that many typeS's. the RSX-P is nothing to worry about, even the stick. I easily pull on my friends stick RSX-P in my 99TL with just a CAI for performance, so you typeS guys would destroy them

have any TL-S members raced an RSX-S? I always figured that would be a pretty close race

Yes, from a stop light, and also while at freeway speeds. That's why I said it depends on who is driving. Maybe the people I raced (I have no idea who they were) don't know the best shift points?

RSX has REALLY grown on me, I like it alot. When my friends CL tranny went out, he got one for a month and after driving the snot outta it, it is a really great sporty car. The styling has also grown on me, it looks GREAT dropped with 18 or 19 wheels.

Why don't you just check ClubRSX's membership numbers....roughly double those of this site in only like a year of existence...

Wow. I agree with 1sicklex in that the car looks great lowered with 18s even 17s. I've seen plenty of modded ones around here.

The comments about the 6 speed, less power, and less weight were all referring to the RSX. Stock vs Stock, these cars are more matched than most here may like to believe, but from a standstill, Id give the nod to the RSX, on the highway while already rolling, Id give the nod to the TL-S.

Well I killed a modded one the other day and TO ME it is a SLIGHT tick slower than the TL-S/CL-S. They are relatively cheap too, this may explain why we so many of them.....

I really like that car....

I've been at the drag strip a lot lately and a stock RSX-S vs TL-S. TL-S would win even from a dead start. Even by 60, we should be even, if not ahead of them. Disadvantage with a RSX-S is that it's more driver dependent because of a stick tranny and with a TL-S will be more consistent as it's an auto.:p

I have basic bolt-ons for my TL-S and at the drags (domestic dominant) I can say (have the timeslips to prove) that I've beaten stock manual new mustang GTs as well as stock old 5.0's. Let me stress that I can beat them, not smoke them.

Talking

I hafta admit that the RSX-S has grown on me, esp. after seeing the type R with the factory body kit and darkened headlights! WOw! As for racing, a stock RSX-S probably will not beat a TL-S rolling or standing start.

I raced one for about a mile in stop and go traffic (a few lights). It was an asian girl driving it and am pretty sure it was stick. She was a good driver and we were pretty much neck and neck. But the TL-S (me) had her by a bumper every time.

More importantly, was she hot?
