If you're not leaning out on the top end (and the stock TL-S does not), the benefits are dubious, at best. However, it is a good tip for modified engines, particularly the supercharged ones.

When I say modified, I didn't mean CAI, either. I'm talking mods that move seriously larger amounts of air through, and I/H/E ain't it.

like Tho said...especially with gas price rising you dont want to be running any richer in the high end if you dont have too...

a lot....injectors aren't cheap...a few hndred for sure.

and running rich is going to slow you down. THere is no good reason to run bigger injectors unless you are pushing some serious air like T Ho said.

Agreed.
I'm not too familiar with the Comptech SC. How much recommende psi, etc. But you have to push a lot more air to be needing bigger injectors. Don't know what the stockers push, but I'd think the limits are higher than what's really used. Either way, if you get a Comptech SC and then get bigger injectors, get an EGT and keep an eye on it.

I paid about $400 for 6 injectors for my old Z. It was turbo and these were blue printed/racing injectors. All relative to the engine and what you want it to do.

I'm sure comptech has fuel delevery taken care of in their kit. This is the reason you buy a kit and don't try slapping on a turbo or sc yourself. You assume that the tuner (especially a trusted one like CT) takes care of things like fuel delivery, optimal spark timing, EGT's, and that the ecu or whatever engine management system still has the abililty to make changes when it senses some bad conditions.

So again, running more fuel isn't going to help you. In general you want to be running about 12.5:1 under boost. Although since comptech runs pretty low boost...maybe a little leaner than that. Extra fuel helps keep EGT's down in forced induction cars. But too much extra definitely hurts performance.
