Hey all, this is for those who live in the Maryland/DC area! For any of you that have installed mods onto the car, where do you take it? Who does a good job? Who would you recommend and who would you NOT recommend? I plan on getting springs and i'm wondering where I would take it to get it done! Thanks!!

Theres a ton of places. I would do a little research and find the best deal.

or if you like to overpay for dealer labor and parts you could always go to Tishcer Acura in Laurel. I've heard they actually sell Comptech parts there and warantee there work. If you do that you might actually want to buy the part elsewhere and bring it to them.

 

I always heard bad things about Car Trenz in Rockville... that they rip off most people, and only if you know someone who works there do you get a good deal. I went in there once and they tried to rip me off big time, so I would stay away from there probably.

 

Alright, so have you had any work done?? Who is probably th ebest?? I would just take it to the dealership, but to me, they aren't any better than anyone else doing it. I took my car to Tischer in Laurel for my recall. It's the closest one to me. They did a pretty decent job i guess... I have HR Springs to install and just want the best job done possible.

i only have few stuff done but I got it done from Honda dealer in alexandria (free of charge).... my friend is a mechanic and I only trust him...(would like to mention he has a 10second civic) = )

you could always take it to performance shop or any import shops but honestly some of those mechanics they have, don't know **** and some don't really give a **** whether they do a quality job or not. (heard from a friend who worked at lotta shops across northern va)


use ur best judgement and go around and ask others....
but i would recommend vertex over car trenz (rip off )

 

If you are handy with tools, you can do the springs yourself. One other place you might check is New Again in Silver Spring. May be pricey though.
