Maintenance Req'd Light is constantly on.
I think I posted it long time ago, about my Maintenance Light blinking on and off. Right now it is constantly on. I just reached 7,500 miles mark. Can that be a reason? Does Acura turn this light on to remind the drivers to go for a "rip off" check up that they do?

Drifting
Be ready to dish out $150 or so for the check up. This includes tire rotation and balance, oil change and other "check ups". However, you can reset the light yourself... check you manual.

Your light is on because of the 7,500 mile service.
Between 7,300 and 7,500 the light will flash on and off for about 10 seconds when you turn the ignition. After you cross 7,500 the light will remain on until you get it serviced.
Nothing to be alarmed about, I guess this is Acura's way of ensuring that you take your car in for servicing. I paid $110 for my 7,500 servicing yesterday, it included tire roatation, oil filer change, lubing the suspension and a bunch of "inspections". Overpriced? Definitely, but the way I look at it is getting your car serviced at an Acura dealer counts for a lot in out-of-warranty situations where the manufacturer is not legally obligated to help you but does so out of goodwill.

How to turn off the maintenance required light
The instructions to turn this light off are straight forward and are found in the Owner's Manual. I believe you turn the ignition switch to the on position while holding down the the two buttons that control the trip meter to the right of the dash. Hold them for ten seconds and the light goes off.

yes....unless there really is something wrong with the engine. But if everything is running ok...then it wont turn on for anything less then 7500
