Maintenance Light Indicator

Pls help. Does anyone know how to manually turn off the Maintenance Light Indicator on 02 TL... I change my own oil, but can't get the thing to turn off.

check your owner's manuel. I had the same problem too, i think you during your key to the second turn, and hold reset for 10 seconds...or something like that, but your manuel should tell you.

Thumbs up

Did a quick search and found this reply in another thread. Sounded like good advice to me!:

Wanna shut the light off? In the '02 owner's manual, hold the reset / select buttons (where you can toggle your mileage / trip computer) simultaneously for 10 seconds (about) when you start your car and it should turn off.

** only shut the light off if you've already gone to get your car serviced... ** It goes on for a reason...

Maintenance Require lights.

1. Press & hold both SELECT & RESET buttons.
2. Put the key in ignition (3rd position, right before start the engine)
3. Keep hold the buttons and wait till the light goes off. (Usually before 10 sec.)
