Magazine 1/4 times?
Considering the numbers that magazines post in cars, and based on my experience with 3 other cars in Etown,

i'm wondering how they come up with the times in the magazines. Does neone definitely know what the procidure is? do they take out R/T from the total to end up with pure 1/4 for the car?

A few things go into those published numbers-->
I prefer Car &Driver as their testing methods are the most precise. Every 3rd issue has the Road Test REview( I think it's called) At the top of that page, they list all the procedures they use when testing a vehicle. In order to keep everything fair, they always test with a full tank of fuel and the same amount of test equipment. They also correct their performance numbers to standard barometric conditions, to make sure they compare apples to apples. I believe they also use the same test track whenever possible, to be sure that results are consistent.
The RT has nothing to do with the ET in figuring 1/4 times, but if you were bracket racing, your RT is just as important as your ET.
