Ok, I am very pissed!! I went to a movie yesterday and came back and found a scratch on my rear bumper. It chipped the paint also. Damn f*cking stupid drivers. And when I drove back to my girlfriend's house, I realized that I have a flat tire on the passenger side. WTF!! I had to spend the night in my girlfriend's house and today it is raining and damn, I can't even sleep because I don't know if any shops are open. WTF!!! Sorry just needed to vent!

You need to relax a bit and realize that your car will not stay scratch free forever...unless you just keep it in your garage and not drive it anywhere. There are road hazards everyday (flying debris off of trucks, stones flying out of dump trucks, watermelons falling off of trucks - this really happened, I kid you not!, banana's in the road (previous post ). And of course, there will always be STUPID people who have no respect for your ride and park so close to you that you could just scream. It is frustrating but it happens.

 

I understand your anger but Gabriele is right, got to realize your car isn't gonna stay perfect forever. Especially if you use it everyday. I used to have a Twin Turbo Z, that car ruled my life, never took it there, parked it miles away, washed it every week, warmed up before use and cooled the turbos etc, you can't imagine how much of my time it took from me. Then one day in the rain, crash, insurance won't fix it, gave me market value. It didn't matter if it looked newer 6 years old then when I picked it up. All that pampering and time for nothing! Bottom line, "it could be worse". Hard not to love our car's though. Take it easy. P.S. Repeat "It could be worse" over and over. It worked for me when I lost my Z.

My TLS is about 3 weeks old and has 1 dent from some SUV's door and 3 chips in the rear bumper from apprent collision of some sort. I think someone bumped into my car in the parking lot. Anyways like Tuff Gong said is so well, lets not lost site of why we have the nice cars in the first place. Not to be enslaved by it but to enjoy it while there the car is still fresh. After about 3 or 4 years I don't think we'd care about little dents and scratchs. I think thrashed look is kinda cool since it tells a lot about the driver's aggressiveness.
