Have you guys HEARD an M3 take off? I sat in one, and it sounded great inside the cockpit, but I've heard TWO take off here at work and BOTH have a very annoying -- almost like something is loose -- type of rattling noise. I mean, it sounds really BAD. They are '02 and '03 models ('02 is manual, and '03 is SMG). To get myself slightly on-topic ... seriously, I'd take the sound of my TL-S any day over that rattling sound I hear from an M3. I mean, that's what people HEAR when you blow by them ... a very annoying rattle that sounds like the car is about to lose something important. Bleagh.

are they convertible? actually the new m3 DOES have some serious rattling problem, and yes they are quite annoying. that's why couple of my friends with the new m3 decided to sell their cars early.

rattles in every car i suppose. even my gs4 there is rattle, damnit

 

Nope, regular coupes. Please don't tell me MY car sounds anything like that. Ugh.

Rattle is the one of the worst thing that can happen when you buy a new car!

I hate rattles sound. But tell me what car don't have that and I'll order a dozen of them.

 

i think he is refering to the exhaust note...and yes the m3 exhaust is a high flowing one it take alot of time for them to warm up an not rattle but when their cold they do rattle like crazzy....
