Hehhh that's funny. Well personally, I would just let it slide because to me it's not a big deal and people do stuff like this all over the web. I'm sure all of us are guilty of taking pictures from the web and using it for personal gain without the permission of the owner, etc. for, say, school projects.

I'm not too sure about the legality of this issue. But it's ok if someone uses your car in their ad, but it's not ok for them to display your license number like that. Even though I would consider it a flattery, I would ask the selling to at least blur out my license plate.

They blurred out the SSM license plate not the black one though.. Ask them since they used your car to throw you a few bucks.

Nice black shinny car. What did you use to make it look sooo good?

And on the pic I agree to ask them to blur out the license plate. No harm done...I would consider it flattery. Now if it was an ebay motors auction and they said they were selling the whole car and they used your picture ...then that would be false advertisment and I would ask them to take the picture down.

That is completely wrong!

You do NOT need to place the copyright (c) mark to receive protection under U.S. Federal Copyright law.

That's the way to go... that's too funny

So if they're linking to your pic... you can really fu#k with them.. if they just flat out stole it the least you should do is ask them to block out your license plate....

Threaten to report them to Ebay if they don't take down the picture (or at least fuzz out the license plate). Ebay won't do ****, but it does scare most sellers. I like the changing the picture idea, if they linked to it. By the way, you are entitled to some compensation if you asked me since they are using your car (and your picture) for financial gain.

from what it looks like, the picture's not linked... When you sell on eBay, you can upload pictures and that's what it looks like. So you can't change the pics, it doesn't work...
