Lubricating brake pads
I did a search for where exactly I should be lubracating the brake pads and aside from DIY (that don't tell you exactly where) I can't find anything.
I posted that my brakes were squealing and someone mentioned shims. I did a quick look yesterday and like some said, Axxis Ultimates do NOT come with shims and my mechanic take the old one off. The good thing is I still have those pads with the shims on so I'm going to do a quick DIY this weekend to get them on. So...where do I lubracated? Under the shim as well as on top? I know not directly on the pad where it presses against the rotors. I have a brake cleaner to get the current stuff off and got a few packs of the little packs of brake lub at Pep Boys since there has been a few posts that had success with it.
Thanks for the help!

Something is missing...my
Put the lotion in the basket
Really, lubricate where the pad slided on the mounting bracket (each side of the pad) and you should also lubricate the pin that connects the caliper to the mounting bracket (which has the little boot) and of course you can use the same lubricant on the BACKING PLATE of the brake pad to help absorb any vibration that we comprehend as squeaking.

Anti-Squeal is only used if the pads do not have shims. Anti-Squeal should not be applied to shimmed pads.
You should clean the shims and the back side of the pad with brake cleaner. The lube needs to be applied to both sides of the shims.
