Which lowering springs should I get?
I just bought a blue 2001 TL with Nav. I got the factory body kit and factory spoiler.
I want to drop the car soon. But I want to know which springs I should go with. Not looking forward to getting something cheap that will cause other problems later. Are H&R springs any good? Also, should I change the shocks as well or should i leave the factory ones in for now?
By the way I love this website. I think it is great.

Lots of our members have different setups, H&R, Eibach, coilovers....but for your stock shocks your best bet is Comptech, IMHO. They're made specifically for the TL. Check out the Comptech page at Acura-TL.com.

I have H&R OE springs with stock body kit. I have no problem bottoming out. I haven't had a speed bump which I can't clear. They lowered my TL approximately 1" all around. It's pretty nice. IMHO, comptechs lower a bit too much for me to handle.
Happy modding!

I'm goin with Comptech. Looks good without pimpin it out. I like factory looking aggressive. Most dealers are saying Comptech does not effect the warranty as well.

The comptech's will void the spring warranty, bc they are not stock. However, I think they are great. My vote goes for Comptech.

So is the Comptech dropped much lower then the H&R? Does anyone with the comptech have problems with the speed bumps. I sure know when my pops comes over to my house and sees my keys laying around he has to take my car for a spin and he does not care about going over those speed bumps fast.
Please let me know what you guys whith comptech think.

If you want to change your shocks while you are at it... then get the Apex'i coilovers. You can change the hight whenever you want!! Cuz you think about it apex'i cost about 8-9 bills? Well comptechs {300} and tokico shocks are about 5 bills for a set. Thas the same as the Apex'i.... Or if you are ballin, CANOVERS!!!!
