They will have a deleterious effect on ride, but by all accounts Forum members either state the effects are small, or the benefits outweigh them.
The reduction in spring travel can negatively affect handling if you drive on roads that are severely crowned, have frequent and relatively deep bips and gouges, or where bumps frequently occur in mid-turn.
Plus, you will see a reduction in shock absorber life.
So far, I have seen the negs outweigh the benes, at least as I would use the car on the roads I drive.
