Lowering Car

I was wondering with 17 inch rims, (5 Zigen Imperio), will a 1.5 inch drop be enough or a 2 inch drop. I don't want to scarifice the ride. Also, when lowering, has everyone changed their shocks as well? If not, how is the ride? Has it gotten worse with time?

i lowered my car with progress springs with 19" wheels (5zigen 5zr). they claim that it lowers 2.5 on an accord but on a tl i think more like 2.75-3.00" but it rides smooth and looks great. so i personally would go 2" for you

Might I suggest Tein SS coilovers. They are a bit pricey ($850 groupbuy price), but think about this, Comptech Springs + Koni adjustable come out almost that much and they aren't even adjustable. With the Tein SS, you can adjust your height whenever you wish. Also you mentioned about not wanting to sacrafice ride quality, the Teins come wiht 16 point adjustable damper setting that allows you to customize how luxury or sport of a ride you want.
