Low Fuel Light.
Low Fuel Light.
My gas gauge is was acting funny. Took to dealership and replaced the Fuel sensor part. They replaced it.
They saw its working fine. But i filled up when the light came on. Took 11 Gallons then it clicked. I have a 17 gal take. It just don`t seem right.
Do i really have 6 gallons left.

When my light comes on, my tank takes about 13-14 gallons. Not sure how these things work but maybe it's not calibrated correctly?
But to answer your question, yes, you had about 6 gallons left assuming that it clicked "normally".
Noticed that you have a 2nd gen...not sure if it matters but mine is 3rd gen.

Its supposed to have a 17.~ gallon tank of which approx 16.4 are usable (the max I ever put back into my car)
The low fuel light comes on at approx 3 gallons remaining- so you have an easy 50 miles warning of finding a gas station
If yours are that far off there is a problem!!!
Should take 14-14.something gallons to fill it- if you stop soon after the light comes on.
Thats stopping at the first auto shutoff of the pump nozzle- not topping off beyond that

I never take it to the red line.
Took it back to the dealer. They hooked it to the computer everything read fine. They floated the sensor manually. They told me to keep a log at each level where the gauge it and how many miles i have.

never take it to the red line-
do you mean when you let the nozzle auto shut off the first time- known as the first click- and your guage does not read way up there full- probably past the full line?
the real test will be to fill up as soon as the light comes on, and note the miles and especially amount of gas it actually burned/fuel remaining
