So I've had my 2002 Black on Ebony TL-Type S for about two weeks now...and I have to say that I love it. The car's hella quicker than it looks and I can't wait to put some extra stuff on it...

Put on the underbody kit and rear spoiler and the car looks really nice. I also had the guys at the dealership strip off all the rear insignia except for the Acura symbol. (whatcha think?).

I was hoping you guys could point me to a pro shop in Dallas? After reading this forum for a few weeks those Comptech headers and exhaust are really starting to look appealing!

Also...any suggestions on tires / stereo upgrades? I don't know very much about either...so any pointers appreciated. If anyone's in Dallas and wants to show off their TL's..lemme know...

It will even look better after you tint and add the Comptech exhaust on it. But before you do that, make sure you ask yourself this question: Are you enjoying the serenity of the quiet engine? If you are, don't get the Comptech exhaust. Even though the sound is not loud, you WILL hear the low rumble at cruiser speed. I personally love it. I hate those little dinky Civics exhaust sometimes. My farts have a lower rumble then their 5 inch tips . On the Headers, GET IT! You really do notice a different is power output. You think your car is fast now? Install the headers and you'll really fly.

Oh, and don't forget to add the CAI for sound...especially when you turn off the engine. That 'hiss' sound really turn heads .

Ahh...I got it...a Cold Air Injector.. how much to these cost? What performance benefit?

Also...anyone know of a DALLAS area shop that can help me install some of this stuff?

CAI=Cold Air Intake. You can purchase these parts on this website. Pricing very competitive. You really don't get too much performance increase from the CAI. But you'll definitely notice the difference with the headers. CAI and exhaust are pretty easy to install if you don't mind getting down and dirty. The headers I would bring it into a shop to do. Happy shopping.

I definitly agree in the color. the shine is always amazing.

as far as Dallas area shops, there is another guy that actually took his to Jotech in Garland, but i'm not their biggest fan.

Header + CAI + Exhaust will sound sooooo beautiful


With the recent closing of Racing Soul and the expensive install prices of Intercrew, Jotech may be your only choice, but i really don't know who the best is for Acura mods......

the only acura they touch most often is an Integra... :p
