Loud wind when driving

I dont know if this applies to any of you, but whenever i hit 50-60mph or so (regular cruisin speed in FL) the i tend to hear the wind a lot...it makes this SHHHHHHH sound louder than what i remember it to be... anyone know whats wrong? how to fix? you have the same prob?

another question...what gives more hp gains and better sound...AEM CAI or Icebox?

i going to watch the Passion now...later all...be back later.

How about a REAL response... I notice that you have a '99. Many times the weather seals inside the doors start to harden. Over time, noise can increase quite a bit because of these seals (squeaking, wind, etc.)

What I would recommend is essentially detailing those seals. Clean them the best you can, and then dress them with a good protectant.

Your other opton is to replace them $$$.

I've never really done any research on that, but I currently have a bottle of Turtle Wax 2001 in my garage. I have heard bad things about Armor All (that it can harden plastic), but I don't know if I believe it. I've used it on other cars in the past with no problem.

From a junk yard - pretty cheap if you can find them. From the dealer - probably several 100 (if available).

Is the wind noise coming from near the fenders? If it is, then you're probably missing a bolt/screw in the fender well that keeps the plastic thing attached. Double check them. Happened to me after I had the body shop put on my body kit. They forgot one bolt, but I thought the noise might have came from the kit, until I found the missing bolt. Hope that helps.

As for the better noise, I have the CAI and it sounds great. Don't know much about the icebox.

Are you sure the problem is not coming from the sunroof?

Happy fla-tls, I posted with a helpful reply.

noise not from fender, not sunroof, not beans either...i tried some weather proof spray i use for my camp tent...i cant tell if it worked...the noise was still there...

For he who asked about seal cost...at dealership, they dont to it, but at body shop, 100-200 (i called 2 places)

yup guess ill just turn up my old '99 bose system.

I read that it's the thin A-pillars and the design of the side view mirrors. Acura reshaped the side view mirrors for '02 to reduce noise.
