Loss of power & struggle accelerating

Hello everyone,

I have a 2003 acura tl type s and I noticed that the car has been losing power and struggling to accelerate. The gas pedal is a lot hard to press on and the car has been driving on low rpm (around 1500) but shifts around 2500 rpm. I don't know if that's normal or not.

The check engine light hasn't come on yet so I don't know if this issue is serious or not.

I hate driving around worried, I have to drive 50+ miles tomorrow and would like to know if anything would happen.

Have your brakes checked, when the car is on a lift, spin one wheel at a time and see if theres any resistance.
Check tire pressures.
Check the transmission fluid level, with engine off and warmed up.
If low fill up between the dots and only use Honda Dw-1.

If all checks out ok consider scanning for codes, even if the Cel is off there may be a code stored.
Let us know what you find.

Yeah, as these guys said....check for codes. Maybe the CEL light was pulled ?
It appears as though either the tranny or cat is the problem and the car is in default limp mode.
