My passenger front door handle spring is loose. The outside handle "flaps" when locked but it will open the door when it is unlocked. I pulled the door panel but can't really tell exactly how the spring is to be set. Does anyone have a detail on this assembly?

If you take apart the door it may be the rod that goes to the actual latch to the handel may have popped out simple fix once the panel is off.

It looks like a thin metal rod pops into a plastic slot

 

thanks, but the loose spring is up at the actual handle, the rod is not loose
