Lightbulb Looking for a TX TL-S at a Great Price?

Gunn Acura, in San Antonio, TX has a Type S for $29,293.00 Why? I bought a hail damage NBP Type S there for $27,779 w/hail damage. Well this NBP/Ebony has been sent to the body shop and all hail damage repaired. If you are interested, check out their site at www.gunnacura.com or call James Stevenson. Tell him the Varisco's sent you!

Sorry NSXNext...left that info. out. No, this is w/o navi as is myne. However, here in Texas, the lowest price I've seen on a non-Navi TLS is $30,699 (and it was at Gunn Acura).

I'd have to save a heck of a lot more than $1,400 on a new car that's had major body panels resprayed. No matter how good the body shop, they can't replicate the process used at the factory. And as the car gets older, the panels will fade at different rates. Not that great a deal IMHO.

That's true. I can only speak from my personal experience and that is that my hood had only 1 minor dent and the trunk 2. In my case, the dealership is going to replace my hood w/ an OEM hood, painted to match. The trunk will also be replaced, per the same process, but I will be responsible for paying that myself. It is possible that if the dents on this particular car were too severe, that the same was done to this TL-S that is up for sale.

It is a good point that is being brought up and would be something that a potential buyer would want to definitely inquire about. And if that didn't work, Gunn does have brand-spakin' new Tl-S (when in stock) for $30,699 w/o navi and $32,699 w/navi.

Actually, there are body shops that good. Matter of fact, I've never seen a factory paint job better than what my brother puts out at his custom shop. Of course you pay for it too. :p

My apologies for bragging, but that's the facts Jack.

I live in Plano and bought my TL-S w/Nav. from David McDavid (Bob Kakowski) for $31,450 before taxes, etc..... Bob is a pretty nice guy and if you buy from him I bet he will tell you he has never sold a TL for that little. I got that line and so did my sister when she bought her '00 TL-P. They had to do a dealer trade with their dealership in Austin to get the SSM w/Nav to me.

Please use my name (Mason Kessner) if you talk to Bob, he should remember me. Don't mention what I paid, but he is a pretty easy guy to negotiate with, althought it may take a few phone calls back and fourth. Their number is 972-964-6000

Good luck!!!

Talking

I agree - there are a lot of great body shops out there with some real good painters who can do a better job than what the factory does. When I had to have my GS400 painted (hood and fenders) the paint job was better than the factory. I kept having rock chips on the hood, but after the shop painted it, I never got another chip!

I'm hoping that the theory of a body shop paint job being better is true (it's hard to see how it wouldn't be.....the paint on our cars is so fragile...anything would be better....even Earl Scheib). Gunn Acura is replacing my hood (OEM and painting to match)....for free. After the hood is replaced and if there are no chips like the rest of the car.....I will bring it up AGAIN to Acura.
