Awesome pictures, and a beautiful car! I'll be purchasing one in March, and was definitely going for the Silver exterior, but was a unsure if I would like the ebony interior. Your pictures have reaffirmed my decision to get the Silver/Ebony setup. Also, thanks for great pictures of the interior, rear, and rims.

Thanks for the photos. I only hope that the parchment interior still comes with the wood finish; otherwise I may have to re-evaluate the purchase decision. Otherwise, can't wait.

Great job Fred! You made those of us that don't live in Detroit feel like we 'were there'. That silver color really does look good. I think i can live with the 'black wood' treatment.

Those are some sweet pictures. I hope the blue one is at the NY Auto Show. I'm still deciding between the TL-S and the CL-S. If the price of the TL-S w/o Nav is under $31000, I think I'm going to be owning one this summer!!

Thanks for the great pics! I'm sure I'll be looking at them many times between now and March (hopefully) when my TL-S is delivered. I know there's been a lot of negative comments by forum members regarding the front-end re-skin, but I think the '02 looks great. The pictures re-confirm my feelings. Also, 260 hp goes a long way in making up for any minor styling faux pas.

What the heck is up with the seats!?!?!?! I'm pissed. They're NOT the same as the CL. The upper section is, but the bottom isn't, there isn't any lower supports on the sides of your thighs like the CL-S has. That was one thing that I liked the most about the new CL. Hmmmm..... Hmmmm.... Well, the more I think about it, the more I think TL instead of CL. I know it's gotta be a bear trying to get a carseat into the back of a CL, and well, realistically I'm not going to go 3 or 4 more years without atleast one in my car.... Also, did they make the seatblelt upper tensioner adjustable?

I still think the front end upgrades look kind of freaky and I HATE THE GREY BOWLING BALL WOOD TRIM! YUCK!

well i think the reason they went with the bowling ball trim is because the type s is suppose to get closer to the sportscar look and feel if it had wood, it would be more luxury!

I was told by an Acura rep at the Philly Auto Show that the "bowling ball" trim was only for the dark interiors, and the wood-color trim would be for the lighter interiors.

That said, nothing else they said was either accurate or substantial.

I believe that the CL Type-S with Parchment interior has the "wood" trim. In Ebony, it has the black "bowling ball" trim.

The ebony interior ONLY comes with the Bowling Ball trim or can you also get it with faux wood?
If bowling ball is the only trim for ebony, I suspect they won't be selling much of it.

I don't think the picture does the black trim justice. The flash from the camera made it very bright. When I saw it in person it was much darker and seemed to go better with the rest of the interior.

Man, that trim is horrendous!
No way.
I like the wood grain much much better.

I saw the 2002 TL-S at the Toronto Auto Show. It was surprisingly in the Naples Gold. I had the Parchment interior and the trim was definitely wood coloured, not bowling ball coloured.
