License plate flip?

I know we've been through this before on the site but now I just looked under my FWD license plate and it's beating the crap out of my bumper. So that has to stop. I know people were talking about flipping it or putting it lower so it doesn't touch the body of the car. Anyone got some info on that.

I flipped the bracket over and mounted it under the bumper with about eight heavy duty nylon zip ties. Some went in the old bolt openings and some to the black trim in the opening under the bumper. I just check them from time to time. None have broken in six months of use. This not only saved the bumper, but made the car look better.

Cops in this area will pull you over for not having a front plate and issue you a fix-it ticket or if you've already gotten a fix-it ticket will fine you for not having it.

I'd rather just avoid getting pulled over all together by having the plate. Looks a lot better with it flipped than the "normal" way, but I don't get hassled by any cops.

we are supposed to have it too, but i like the looks of it better with it off and risk it, not to mention it makes teh car alot harder to get nailed by laser

I've had my front license plate attached now for about 2 weeks... I haven't taken it off to look at the bumper yet... I presume that it'll be scratched?
