If you have a bracket that goes to the bottom of the middle part of the bumper and doesn't physically touch the bumper, just flip the holder over, screw it back it and problem solved.

x2, that is exactly how I did mine. It looks like a beaver front teeth to me when I first had it without bending, hanging straight down with the upside down mounting bracket, the plate leans against the bottom bumper peak.
The way I did mine now, you wont need the mounting bracket. Bend the top out 90, then use the 2 existing bracket screws to mount it; you can also bend it backward, but mounting the screws will be a bit harder, and it could be illigal since bending back will hide away the license plate State. Bend the bottom up all the way to the back so that the total height will fit perfectly in the bumper. No more leaning against the bottom bumper.
Now for aerodynamic and beaver teeth cosmetic, mark the bottom middle of the license plate and bend it like a v-shape backward, far enuf to run along with the bottom bumper arrow shape.

any close up pics? the CALIFORNIA would definitely be covered when i bend it but i guess it should be fine as long as you bend it forward like you suggested?

they sell a bracket for that i had it on my civic its like 10 bucks i think lol also i heard its illegal (something like its state property) to bend your license plate and putting it on your dashboard is a safety hazard if you get rear ended at 100 mph and the license place flys towards you and cuts your head off... hypotheticly(sp?) speaking

umm thats a great way to get pulled over- plate on the front dash
The whole point of states that require a front plate being MOUNTED to the front is that criminals keep a stack of plates,,often stolen off the front of other cars.. and use them in crimes! can you believe that! Cops show up at your door because security footage shows your plate number
If yours is sitting on the dash it looks like a quick change artist, reason enough for a conversation about it, maybe they dont like your tints,,,- thats Officer safety as they need to see if you are pulling a weapon as they approach
I know people who keep the front plate in the seat pocket so they can prove it wasnt stolen off the car and its a fix it ticket--
a ready excuse--say- 'I took it off before detailing and forgot to put it back on-I will fix that as soon as I get home'---this only works if you keep the car clean~
Dont run rear plate on the rear deck either- sure fire way to say its probably a hot car with something going on
Now I am not saying anyone here is ever doing anything wrong in any way...I just dont like wasting time talking with the local enforcement over nothing important
Small towns they like to check out your car too!

looks fucking retarded, imo. i'd rather just put it on straight, but with tops and bottoms bent to fit in that location (lacviet style).. rocked it like that for a good year
and the other one up where the visor is.. i also did that for a few days, but would get annoying for passengers. but is a good location
currently just rock no front plate, but 3M taped to the bottom right corner of my windshield

either you put the plate on dash or on the back of the visor, or mounted it at such a angle are all ILLEGAL. You'll get a ticket anyway as if no front plate at all.
I took the front plate off for three years and never had a problem. And I have the plate in the trunk just in case if I do get pulled over, I'll tell the cop someone hit my car while it parked broke the front plate holder.

It's illegal to place plates in the windshield, as well as bending the plate like Huy did with his. My way is probably illegal as well, but having the bottom stick out further than the top of the plate makes the car look bucktooth.
