Exclamation LEVEL10 TORQUE CONVERTER/TRANSMISSION PROJECT

I thought this subject would be of interest to alot of you seeking more performance out of your car. I don't own an Acura, but I have a 98 Accord Coupe V6. I believe our tranny's are simmilar, and our torque converters are probably identical. The link below will bring you to the posted messages that are on SHO's board. It's an extremely long post but the info is well worth it.

Our tranny's can't be similar, we got 5spd. Oh forgot the 99's have 4. Maybe it will work.

The principle is the same for any automatic. The TL's 5 speed auto has a torque converter that can be upgraded to allow the transmission to put more power down to the floor.

Does Level 10 have a website or something? Sounds interesting.... i hate the "sluggish" feeling in automatics. So this job costs about 1000 total??

Oh, yea Level 10 has a website at www.levelten.com. Hey Gimmic, didn't know you were a member of this board too.

Yea, I'de say total cost of the job would be around 900.

Wassup Kenny - I haven't seen you on the SHO V6 board lately. A lot of things have been going on over there and I'm sure the TL owners would also be interested on some of the stuff your Accord cousins are up to. We have a thread for the Comptech Supercharger that we keep updated, and from time to time Mike B. drops in and gives us the status of SC project. Also, we have several members who've expressed interest in a lower cost alternative to the Comptech headers, and we found a manufacturer that has stepped forward and will be trying to make it a reality. Another product that you guys might be interested in is a piggy-back computer called The PROgram that allows the user to tune the engine to extract the most power out of it. And then we are trying to rally support and interest in a polyurethane bushing set for the Accord suspension system from Energy Suspension. Not to mention the torque converter upgrade from Level Ten that Ryan (geaux4it) has mentioned.

I encourage any TL owner to join and get involved in the discussions over on the SHO V6 board as Kenny had done. I'll do my part in sharing some of the info from there and bring it over here also. I think its a great idea to pull our resources together and show these manufacturers that there is interest in their products for our cars (since the Accord, TL, & CL share a lot in common).

Geaux4it - I see several SHO members post here from time to time, Bnut being one of them. The TL members have been very cool in welcoming us Accord owners over here, especially Snook.

Mike - I didn't mean to exclude our CL cousins, but the invitation is also extended to the CL members of this webboard. I'm sure all you guys are interested in some of our V6 projects. I'll start a thread on this forum linking to some of our discussions on the SHO V6 board about the products I've mentioned above. If we get enough people to express interest, it would make it hard for these manufacturers to ignore us. And the more people we could get the cheaper they could offer their products (supply & demand market principle).
