LED Indicator Lights, not a normal question

I was fortunate enough to spend 5 months living in Tokyo last year and have been thinking over what I came to see as unexpectedly fairly common on cars there, LED indicator lights. Basically taxis, larger semi trucks (which werent so much small LED's but rather a marker light), and various other passenger vehicles were equipped with various colors of LED lights in the front of there car to add "accent." I'm thinking of doing this but am worried it may look gaudy on the TL rather than acting as more of a luxury. They serve no lighting purpose other than asthetic but did look rather good in my opinion. Obviously Japan is much more lenient on what they allow for color combinations in the front and rear of vehicles but legality isn't my concern. What is my concern, as mentioned, is if it will provide a gaudy, cheap look among the cars here in the states. Opinions welcome as suggested but please leave out the nonsensical "why the eff would you do that" comments. Thanks guys.

Head over to www.oznium.com/forum for some inspiration. Check out their picture galleries.

It depends on how you do it. Personally, I think multiple colors is gaudy, but that's just me. I'd stay stick with white and maybe blue.
