Just curious if everyone got a nice leather document holder for their owner's manual.

The sales brochure said every new Acura comes with one but I only got a cheapo plastic folder to go with my 2000 TL. WTF???

 

Yup, I have it. But I didn't know it was leather. It's black... and it does smell like leather... so it must be leather! Included in it was an Acura Pen and Acura Keyholder too.

 

Yup got one too. I guess to comfirm that its not a US/Canada thing, maybe another Canadian can comfirm.

Yup got a leather one with pen and key chain. Just noticed it. I think Phi's right, must be an American thing. For those in Canada - Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah!

My TL came with a black faux leather "day planner" type case for the owner's manual, warranty info and a small road atlas. Has the Acura pen and a small, rectangular flashlight where the beam swivels to turn on. I thought everyone got one of those?

I got the leather case, pen, and keychain too. But I also got a really cute 5'11" swimsuit model on the passenger seat. You guys didn't get that? That's strange...they told me everyone gets one of those here. Oh yeah...and I also got a free car care kit.

I got mine from Richmond Acura. Where did you get yours? Did you also get the pen, keychain, etc.?

I don't care much about the pen, keychain stuff but I'm going to have to ask them what's up with that cheapo plastic folder!

Got same package.

But I saw they had Post-It note pads with the Acura logo on it. It had a sticker saying to place in car before delivery. There wasn't one in my car, so I took it.

I got the so called leather case.It had the owners manual navigation manual & warranty info.It came with the Acura pen but no flashlight.I got the car care kit as a gift at the new owners car clinic.They gave everbody one that night about 30 people that purchased Acura cars.

I got a leatherette (vinyl) owner's manual holder with the flip-up light. The flip-up light died (not the batteries, the internals), and the metal keychain goes against what kind Acura recommends you to use with the chip-in-key security system.

Go figure.

I got the leather document holder... looks like a day planner. They also gave me 3 or 4 key chains but not the leather kind. Bought my car from Lougheed Acura. You should go ask them for it cuz every car comes with one... I think.

 

Does it only come out when the airbag is deployed..LOL.

What the !@#$!#@$#$!%$% I got mine from Burrard too! i got the leather holder but i didn't get no keychain, or pen or umbrella! But then again, i got it through a broker. Hmmm, maybe they swiped it!

 

Speed,

Keychain is pretty cheap. LEather with dealership on it.

Pen is metal but not worth more than $5.

Umbrella is pretty good, but my strap for holding together while closed broke after second use.

Mmmm..

Got mine from Burrard Acura as well. Received the leather document holder, pen, umbrella and locking wheel nuts. BTW...I also went through a broker.

 

This message is for all the guys/gals in the Vancouver Area. I'm planning to purchase a 2002 TL-S and would appreciate it if someone would please post any information regarding the 2002 TL-S Canadian Models. If the changes are minute, the trip up north might be worth it. Thanks. Grumps.

 

I put mine in the pocket thingy on the left side of the trunk. Fits in there perfectly.
