Latest Nav disc for an 02 TL

Can anyone recommend a place to get the latest NAV DVD for my 02 TL? I saw one for $180 - is that a good deal?

My DVD is 2.05 I think, I hear 2.11 is the latest.

Thanks

I am new the the navi thing. As far as i am aware, i dont have any updates, but i bought it used and not sure what the previouse owner may have put into it. What do the disc's provide you with? I live in Clearwater, Florida and when driving around i dont notice that many roads missing from the map. Someone please educate me!!

The disc contains the maps, the phone numbers (POI = point of interest), pretty much everything you need to run the system. Just like an atlas, it can get out of date. If there's no development in your area then it's no big deal. If you find that the bulk of the streets are missing - you might want to consider the update.

You can get your version by either taking the disc out of the trunk unit and reading it, or through the setup screen (something like Setup -> Others -> Information).

I live in California, I have A Dual Layer burner and 10 blanks, I'm sure most people know DL dvd burners can copy 8.5 gigs on one disc, it was expensive, but if anyone wants in, it should help defer the cost. If not hey I have both!

If more than two people want in I'll run an Ebay auction(set price...buy it now only) for "Acura miscelanous promotional material" --- if not bidding from this site you won't win. Just to add some legitamacy.

Sure, I'll admit I have no problem taking(stealing if you like) from a huge corporation...But I would never take from my fellow man.

Is this concept foreign to you?

Not so much because 'They won't miss a few dollars' or 'Hah they'll never (I'm just one guy doing it once)catch me they have bigger fish to fry' (although those are two VERY good reasons) the main reason I feel NO guilt what-so-ever is that I know huge corporations make HUGE profits, off the little guy. They could profit share, they could pay their CEO less than 6million a year with a 2 million bonus, they could build a better a product/charge less. but they don't they make HUGE profits off the little guy.

So while I don't mean to offend you(piracy IS offensive to some) if you are not interested I can respect that each man(or woman) must make his or her own choices.

But back to the original topic... anyone else want to split the cost on the latest 02' TL DVD Navi update?

P.S. I do NOT plan to make this some sort of business, whoever is in is in, this is pretty much a one time deal.

Okay I just placed the order for the Navi disk(should be here in a few days(coming UPS grpund), someone asked what version... I have a 01' TL (LOVE IT) and the update is "UPDATE DISC V. 2.11C" I checked and this update is good for TL's 00' thru 03'

Some one else asked which media and at what speed I would burn the disk, I will purchase the the best media I can find (They are all about $10-14) and burn as slow as possible. Before I ship any disk I will test it in my TL first. I will NOT ship bunk disks.

Also there has been limited interest, but I am still buying, be sure to check the forums over the next ten days I will post and send Pm's

okay the disc came in, it's great.

I have attempted to duplicate this disk, no luck. My first attempt worked but is very SLOW to read. (It's like the finicky CD player all over again!) Each failure is $10!(Each blank costs $10!) So stand by I and going to try and switch burners AND software. But really one or two more 'coasters' and I'm done.

I'll keep the forum posted, if anyone has had any real experiance(has successfully copied a new(Dual Layer) Nav disk, please post.
