Question To late to Switch to synthetic oil?

Hi all,

I read the majority of the synthetic oil threads and have the following questions regarding my 2000 TLP with 94k KM's (in Canada) on it...

1)IS it too late to switch to synthetic? I have read that some people are concerned about carbon deposits on the seals left by "dino oil" may cause seal leakage once I switch.

2)Is there anything else that I can do to prolong the life of my engine (ie. teflon treatment, etc.)? I religiously maintain my vehicles, doing all fluid changes and such as suggested by the owner's manual.

Some background on the car...
I am the second owner of the car, it was a lease return.
I do not know the oil that the previous owner used, and am quite sure that the km's on the car are highway.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Rob.

That was true of much older vehicles. Your car is only 3 years old; if you're not leaking anything, which you shouldn't, your seals should be in good shape. You should have no problems switching to synthetic; I switched at 35K myself.
