I know this probably has been covered before, but my question was... If I switch my rear turn signals to LEDs, will I need a load resistor?

yes you would need it.. and go narrow... i got a tad to wide of an LED bulb and no fit..

had to trim the edges....

 

i got the 30 smt led's from http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm, the one's that are 20x52mm.

it doesn't fit, so get a file or low grit sandpaper, and grind down one side, and voila! they look sexy, like in my avatar <<< lol.
