Question KYB or Koni??

this might be a little stupid question but would it make my car ride better with aftermarket shocks??
i'm currently running on stock shocks+eiback prokit, stock tl-p rims and personally the ride is not very satisfactory over bumpy roads. It feels like everything is gonna fall apart when I hit bumps. I like the lowering of prokit but ride quality is sometimes just unbearable here in wisconsin. now i'm planning on putting 18'' rims sometime next week(ssr gt-1) and would like to get some opinions wheather i should go with aftermarket shocks
if that's the case which one should i go with

1. KYB gr-2 (cheap)
2. KYB agx (adjustable)
3. koni yellows (adjustable)

i know KYB's are used on lexuses and konis are more for bmw's if i'm not mistaken. i want to make my ride little softer perhaps more "shock-absorbable" and not too bouncy. it is already stiff enough with eibach now. responses will be greatly appreciated please help??

also, should I also get new struts when getting new shocks?
