my email address is peterchung@sympatico.ca

I can get the 4 discs for $600 CAD. That's about $400USD I'm gonna assume that that's a good price?

Is there a big diff. in braking?

$400 for 4 rotors is a good price. That is $100 a piece. We TL's don't have many choices.

If you talking about brembos, that would be around $2k. :wow: and that is just the front, but then again you get 4-piston calipers.

I actually double checked with my mechanic today and for the 2 front rotors he'll be charging me $350 CAD and that includes installation and a set of KVR brake pads for the front. I guess I'm getting a really good deal huh?

My friend told me he could get 140Cdn for a front rotor. Is that a good deal? Also is which is better? KVR pads or Axiss(not sure how to spell)?? Thanks for the input.

If you get Axxis, get the Ultimates. They are better than the old Metal Masters. Better performance and less dust and of course cost a little more.

Never tried KVR but I hear they are pretty decent. I dont think they have been tested for high performance but I am sure they beat stock pads!

850EX, you mentioned in the other post that the front and rear for a Type-R fit on a TL, do you know if the rotors for any of the other Honda's/Acura's are the same as that of the TL?

Speed,
Rotors I am not sure what other rotors fit our cars. Havent investigated that.
I would prbably just stick will stock rotors or get Brembo blanks WHENEVER they come out.

When I had my BMW I purchased two new Brembo crossdrilled rotors through eBay and the total cost including shipping was $226

There's tons of stuff on ebay if you just search for it

copyryte,

Now that you've had the pads and rotors on the car for awhile, what do you think of the setup? How are the pads compared with stock?

They're pretty good. They bite alot harder than the stock pads and rotors that's for sure.

Brembo makes a stock OEM replacement rotor for $50 a piece...it's plain tho. Also Wilwood is planning a kit for our cars.

I'm not sure if the TL rotors are the same as the AV6, but I'm thinking about ordering a set from raceconcepts.net. I called the guy and he said I can get all four rotors (brembo, dimple drilled, slotted) for about 240, plus shipping of course. AcnupTL has these rotors on his GS and they look pretty damn nice! Just thought it was worth it to let you guys know.

Check out a site called formymercedes.com The guy's name is Jerry and is very knowledgable. Even though he specializes in Mercedes, he has access to the full line of Porterfields and KVR's. He also does the cryogenic process on rotors if interested.

Bought my Porterfield R4-S pads from him and they're great pads.
