Know anyone who will Comptech Exhaust for a good price??
I have a 99 TL and my friend bought his Comptech Exhaust system off the net for a low price. I'm wondering if you know anyone who is selling it for a good price of if anyone who has it want to sell theirs... Thanks...

i saw an axle back comptech go for 350 on ebay, it was used for about 2 years. If i hadnt had my HKS super Dragers i would ve gone for the comptech, but then again given the choice between HKS and the Comptech exhaust i would allways go for the HKS, dont know why i just like the over all look and love the low rumble it has compared to the comptechs who look good as well but are as quite as the OEM ones.

If you get the Comptech exhaust you will love it!! I know I do.
You can go to www.c-c-c.net. They have a pretty good price for the exhaust. You can also try to contact blxmjx on A-CL.com. Thats where i got my exhaust from. Good guy and service was excellent. Good Luck

dont bother yourself, i bought 2 magnaflow mufflers, a magnaflow resonator, a magnaflow y pipe, and had full cat back piping done for 400 bucs, way less than the comptechs. I got more power and a way better sound.

Muffler:
#14829
2.25" Inlet 4" Diam. Tip
Double Wall, Angle Cut
7" Length
14" Muffler Body Length
Resonator:
any 22 incher would do, i got a magnaflow one(not listed on the sit though )
Y pipe:
Magnaflow also(not listed on the site ) 2.25 single in to 2.5 dual out.
Hopes this helps and the piping was done by an exhaust shop.

my TL was a 99, so the increase in exhaust piping size gave me a nice bump in power. I had intake and headers so it complimented them very well. A type s wont see an increase from exhaust because the piping is already a decent size for a naturally aspirated setup, so most guys go for an axel back for sound. If you go axle back the price would be like 175 installed. epending how much you can get the cans for.

I found out all the info directly from Magnaflow....
Here are the parts you will need
Part Number: 14829
Muffler with 4 inch tips (street series)
(you will need two of these)...we have two mufflers!!!
Part Number: 10758
Y-Pipe
Part Number: 14415
Resonator
You will need an exhaust shop to bend your current piping on the car, in order to have everything fit properly.
Hope this helps everyone, I will definitely be purchasing this exhaust setup come next spring.
Later guys.

If you just accelerate normally, it will shift early, IE 2K, If you romp on it, then it should not shift until up around redline. hope this helps
