I have a '99 3.2 TL and the remote lock and unlock buttons work fine but on my remote I also have a Panic button and it just sits there and looks cool while serving no purpose at all. Is there no audible alarm that comes standard with the 99 TL or did the dealership just jew me over?

 

my 99 works just fine with the panic button.. press it in the vicinity of the car and the alarm goes off... you need to be fairly close to the car tho (closer than the lock/unlock/trunk buttons).

For fun, just stand next to your TL and press the panic button

Lock or unlock the car to turn the alarm off.. and don't do this at this hour of the night

Tis an odd alarm tho.. once i scrapped some muck off my back bumper with my nail and to my surprise, that triggered the alarm! Never did that again, no matter how hard i tried
