I have a prestige alarm installed on my car and the remote is messed up. I was wondering if I could get an oem remote and program it to still unlock/lock my car. I don't really care about the autostart, just lock/unlock/trunk.

Thanks

no its the one with a red lock button, red unlock button, green trunk/remote start button and a black option button.

One of the buttons fell out and I don't know where it went and the remote isn't working until I've hit it a few times

a button fell out? thats all? go back to the place and ask for a new fob. or have them swap it out. did you check ebay or amazon or anything for a fob? i've gone through a few fobs for viper and prestige. they pop open.

Ya I guess I could get another prestige remote but I just wondered if the oem would work since I like it better. Since I gotta get a new one I was gonna switch

an OEM remote will only operate the OEM functions like lock unlock and trunk although it will not be able to interface with your prestige alarm whatsoever.
honestly I sell prestige remotes for 30 bucks with free programming(i know what a deal eh) and I know that acura will charge you ALOT more than that and all it will do is the basic functions.
that being said if your prestige brain is fried you have no choice.
and the oem remote will not operate the prestige alarm
