I bought a K&N oil filter at CDN tire. I got the HP-1004, is this the right one for our TL-S?

 

Yup! It might look small but it's same one I got and so far so good.

 

Yes you got the right one. It is also wise to change the oil filter to KNN as well.....

 

I'm assuming you mean the air filter...right? BTW I asked CDN tire about the air filter from K&N, they called up their supplier and to my surprise the price is quite good. They can order it for me anytime and have it within 48 hours. The price for the TL-S, part # 33-2178 is only 68.49 CDN.

is that a good price for it?

I assumed it was gonna be somewhere in the 100 dollar range, but obviously I was mistaken.

 

when i went into CT and they said it'd hafta be special order, i just left. i went over to Lordco (sorry, BC-only company) and picked one up for $54. we need more auto parts stores in Canada.
