most likely you'll have to have the k&n special ordered for you. the shop should be able to look up the right part # for you. as for the fram and penzoil ones that you saw, i'm fairly certain those are the disposable paper filters. they're like the stock ones in that they won't improve the airflow like the k&n filter does.

the k&n filter costs $40~45, whereas the fram/penzoil ones should run around $10~$15... but the k&n is reusable, whereas the the others aren't. so the k&n is a better value in the long run, in addition to the improved performance.

there have been discussions that proved K&N to be ineffective dirt filters
do a search, maybe you can find the thread
i've heard good things about the comptech drop-in, do a search, plenty of threads on air-filters

Um, just tell them the year, make, and model of your car, and they should give you the correct filter.

i have the comptech. but have only had it for a short while, so haven't reallie felt the improvments yet. my mpg has been improving, but i dunno if it was due to the filter, or jus cuz my car was new, and its starting to improve as my car gets older. as for the horsepower, +1hp is too small for me to feel.
