K&N Filter

Just wondering if any of you fine folks have added the K&N air filter as a stand-alone mod. Does it jut make noise or is there a perfromance gain? Obviously, money is an issue!

As for K&N I believe is the same as the comptech High-flow filter.

Certainly, the Air Intake thing has been done to death but there is very little information about the Comptech Filter specifically and how it does/does not improve performance.

The aftermarket replacement filter element such as K&N or Comptech by itself won't give you too much hp gain. However, it is definately better than the stock filter as the replacement filter is less restrictive.

However, if the money is an issue, you should simply take out the resonator box. The cheapest mod ever! Refer to the thread below:
