K & N

The horsepower/torque gain is minor. Since I replaced the stock filter with K & N shortly after I got my car, not sure whether it gets better gas milage or not. Magazine such as Import Tuner does Dyno tuning tests every month and most of the tests show that the horsepower gain below 3,000 RPM are minor even with a an open cold air intake unit.

my 2 cents

Not sure if you were making a statement or soliciting comments. But here's my take on the whole K&N air filter deal. I had it done to my previous '94 Miata and Civic, the mileage again is probably very very minor, maybe save you 50 cents per fill-up.

I also question the whole cold air intake deal as well, I've addressed this elsewhere on this board. I think it's more for the sound effects than power gain. For Type S owners, I think it might be better to leave your intake as is since they've redesigned the intake box to maximize airflow anyway - similar to what you might get with an aftermarket intake.
