Just wondering...... SUNROOF OIL?
I was thinking of oiling the tracks for the sunroof?
has anyone done that and what can i use to do this?
it came to mind while i was lowering my car down and my jack seized on me..... cuz of rust and lack of lubricant on the jack. wanna make sure my sunroof doesn't do that to me specially in the winter!

Three Wheelin'
I just had the dealer do it for me. My sunroof one day was closing really slowly, almost as if the motor wasn't strong enough to shut the roof. And it was only on a very cold evening. So I told them to lube up the tracks and all that, now the sunroof whips closed...I'm sure I'm covered for winter with that.
I would say, take it to the dealer to do it. They'll do it for you for free. I don't know what they use to grease it, but you could try spraying some WD-40 on the tracks and see what happens.

Chucky, I have some oil for that at my shop, give me a shout tonight and we'll take care of it... I'm positive a dealership will charge you for that.. your car isn't under warranty and you bought it used.. but it's an easy fix....
I acutally am going to take apart my sunroof and tighten all the screws to eliminate some rattles...
talk to ya..l8s

The best would be to clean the tracks with some WD40 then coat them with the white lithium grease. THe white lithium also comes in a spray can which might be easier or it might just be messier.
