Just waxed my baby....and 4 hours later?

I just finished applying the 3 applicants of maguire's wax. The first bottle is for cleaning the paint, the second is for polishing the car (removing all the swirl marks), and the 3rd of course is the final coat of wax. I must say that this stuff works exceptionally well, but you have to have so much patience with it. If you're willing to blow off a whole afternoon detailing your car to a tee...then you gotta get this stuff. Basically you wash the car, dry it off with a chamois, and then apply all three coats of maguire's. You have to sit there though and make sure that each product goes into the body (that's what gives it the final shine).

So if you want your car to shine like insane...here's what you need

1) Maguire's Number 1, 2, and 3 bottle of cleaner, polisher and wax
2) Eagle one rim cleaner
3) Eagle one tirer cleaner
4) Mother leather cleaner
5) Mother's leather conditioner
6) Mother's interior detailing cleaner (for the dash board and stuff, do not use on any seats or side door leather panels)
7) 1 chamois
8) 3 100% cotton towels (to apply the maguire's stuff)
9) bottle of windex
10) Car kit deluxe duster (to clean all the dust off the car once you've waxed it

I will try and post some pics tomorrow...but I must say, my car looks soo damn hot!!!

I got so many ppl in Lexus, BMW's, Mercedes eyeing me as I drive past them on the street!!! I'm loving this TL-S A-Spec

i think the ladt thing you need to do is explain to people on this forum how to keep there car clean...we're freaks already...everyone on here does that already...nice work btw...and you should use eagle one 20/20 instead of windex

I realize that you guys are all as nuts as me...I just figured that by listing what I use, you may get better ideas about what products to use on different surfaces of the car.

And thanks btw for the 20/20 advice, I found the Windex did the worst job of all the things on the car...

i have 20/20 but i hate the streaks that it leaves behind. it doesn't say anywhere on it that it won't leave streaks. next time i'm getting something else. maybe that foam stuff from gunk. for sure that would be easier to apply cuz i like to spray onto the windows and with the 20/20, being in liquid form, you have to wipe immediately after you spray so it doesn't all go into the window cracks.

I'm surprised you got all that done in four hours! This past week end it took me six hours to wash, dry, clay bar, do windows in & out, wax with Maguires Gold Class paste, plastic polish the instrument lenses and vaccumed. Granted I wasn't in any hurry but.

BTW- Did you wax the door jams?

what do you mean the door jams? btw yah I used the gold line of maguires, and it has 3 different applicants. I basically waxed every part of my car on the outside, then used a duster to dust the inside, polished everything in the interior, then vaccumed. Took me from about 3:30-7:40pm

yah about 4h

Sure, the door jams. The part of the door that's only visible when the door is open. Where the doors sills are, the latch strikers, weather stripping, VIN number and build date plaquards (driver's door only), etc.

So where are the pics ? It's tomorrow
I vote you should use clay next time. Like mentioned, use a better glass cleaner too.
4 hours is a lot faster than me.
