Just turned 250,000 miles

Well, it made it. Actually the car has been fairly low cost considering the miles. Brakes and tires are an annual spend but beyond that, not much to complain about. I keep telling my wife, one day when I slam the door shut, the whole car will fall apart like in the end of the Blues Brothers movie.

2 timing belts and water pumps
1 radiator
broken rear driver door handle (still not repaired, but the kids like going through the window anyway.)
currently no a/c but its cold anyway
1 battery
1 windshield
review mirror is no longer dimmable
coffee spilled in the drivers seat heat control (works randomly)
No paint, or body work ever done
1 transmission at 234K
2 headlights (one each)
about 80 oil changes
had to clean the egr 3x
torn front drivers seat from entering/exiting so much
frayed drivers seatbelt

I think that is about it.

Sweet. I used to live in Mt Laurel.

My 99 is at 103K and still going strong.

Wait, you've never replaced the motor mounts?

Sorry and a few motor mounts. MPG have been holding around 22, but I do mostly highways. I am sure I will think of other stuff that broke, but that is the list that came off the top of my head. I'll try and throw up a picture.

Whoa what's this about the motor mounts...I'm fairly new to the board and haven't heard about this issue yet...does it affect all 2g TLs?

good for you. I have 136k on my 99 right now and it runs better than ever, accept that damn broken front ***motor mount#$%$! I will be replacing the side and front one myself soon. are there any engine shifting issues I need to worr about when I replace either of them. I will brace engine with a jack and block of wood when I am doing it. I just wonder when I take the bolts out will the engine shift so I can't move it flush with the bolt holes?
