I just went by the dealer to pick up some paper work and they had a whole row of 02 TL and TL-S out front. To tell the truth after looking at it in person I like the 99-01 Tl's better

I was at Acura today myself, and was glad that I got an '01, although the 260hp would have been nice. I prefer the '01 seats, though, but the new grille is not attractive to me.

Ultimately, I would have a crew of engineers build me a custom car from the ground up using the best parts of different cars: hmmm, let's see - old E-type Jaguar body in Mercedes silver, Bugatti-Campagnolo wheels, M5 engine and tranny, SL500 suspension, LS430 interior, NSX seats, Porsche brakes, Bill Gates' bank account...

Speaking of Gates, I believe he was once quoted as saying that of all the cars he has driven, the GS430 is his favorite.

What a coincidence. I was at my Acura dealer today also to set up an appointment for the squeaky sunroof problem. I saw a brand new TL-S parked so I pulled up behind it. Since I have the Inspire tails on already, it looked exactly like my 99TL. The TL-S is nice and everything but that damn grill is just TOO big. I like my 99TL grill much better.
BTW, in a few years I am looking at either the BMW M5 or GS430.

I saw a white TL-S yesterday from afar and at first, I thought someone just bought a 01' with rims and I was like damn! As I got closer, I realized that it was a TL-S! Not really impressed. Looks similiar to our TL's now. I know the 260HP sounds good, but hey, that is why we have mods!

That's the idea folks...

It's not SUPPOSED to look much different than a regular TL... THAT is what makes it attractive. You can buy a car with 260hp and it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb for cops to pull you over.

 

I wonder if this is recent , because 430 is a revised name for the 2001 model , before it was never 430 , it was 400. Damn did he get paid or somethin , he shud have said Porsche 996 though.
