Talking Just Raced a CL-S

Just finished and beating a CL-S with exhaust(not sure which one) and intake. Right off the line I beat the CL-S and when I was in third he caught up and then gave up. It was my first race with my 03 TL-S and I loved it.

Actually according to Acura, the two cars weigh almost the same. It comes down to how much the driver weighed and how good of a driver the driver was.

CL Type S - 3510 lbs.
(3534 lbs. with Navigation System)
CL Type S (M/T) - 3446 lbs.
(3470 lbs. with Navigation System)

TL Type S - 3558 lbs. (3574 lbs. with Navigation system)

the weights are almost identical....
from what ive heard.........the cl-s first came out in 2001 and they changed gearing and other small specs for the 2002 tl type s.....then in 2003, they made the cl-s in 6-speed.......which i am sure will take our car..........but i read in motor trend that they ran 14.7..........thats the same they ran with our car

Honestly I don't race them unless they are "riced out" and they are asking for it. I have yet to meet a CL-S owner that wants to race me. I did play with a CL-S once but it wasn't to race, we were just showing off a little. Nothing but love there!!

Races a TLP once...kinda

I was on my way home driving a little fast on the highway (80-85) when I passed a TLP. Well it seemed that the TL wanted to shadow me (no big whoop) but then we got off at the same exist with a big rotary ahead. The guy was still pretty close so when we hit the rotary I took off and made some distance. Nothing big just having some fun.

Basically what I wanted to say was that I'll try racing anything/anyone that's willing to as long as there is no traffic (or very, very little) and the roads are dry. As dumb as this may sound I try to minimize the risk, especially to others. Difference is that I will not be an ass to a follow Acura. I am the same with Hondas but sometimes they show me no love so I reciprocate.

i had 6 people (5 girls and my self... as well as three subs) in my tl-s and raced a CL-S (with two people)... we were at a stop light and he looked over rev'd, so i knew he wanted to race... well, i beat him off the line and was 1/2 a car length in front the whole time till we hit 75 or so... and i slowed down.... but kept going.

he might have just been a poor driver, i dont know

We may all be brothers, but when one gets besides you and tries you I do not plan on backing out. I will just go forward and do my best to beat my brother, cousin or whoever it might be.

It's all about the jump. 2 cars equal like the CL-S vs TL-S, well obviously who gets the better start will win.
