Post Just installed my rear spoiler!

Hi all! I purchased my rear spoiler from autocarparts.com for my TL Type S and installed it myself.

I purchased the ACP Unpainted Factory style spoiler for $129.55, got it painted here in So Cal for $150 (they do great work) and installed it myself (saving me $80). Total cost was approx $280!!! Is that a good price?

I love the new look! Much sportier! And thanks to the following thread on installation help for adjusting the torsion bar for the added weight!!!

Congrats! I'm one of the few that love the rear spoiler on the TLS. You are definitely right about it being more sportier. As for the $280, I thought you can get the painted one for the same price???

TypeSDragon, You're right about the painted price. But at the time, I thought I could get it painted cheaper. Anyway, these guys that painted mine matched the paint exactly and they did an excellent job! They primarily paint and do body work on old classic cars so you know they do killer work! Oh well.....at least I saved on the installation anyway!

Can you go faster now?

Just kidding, just kidding. I've been reading www.riceboypage.com.

What was the name/number of the paint shop in So Cal?

You probably would want the body shop to color match it to your TL body color. Honda's (Acura) white paint fades so if you have had your car for a while, the color would have faded already. So buying the painted one won't be good because the colors won't match perfectly.
