Just got back from the dyno!
I pretty much drove my car right from bumper to bumper Central Florida traffic onto the dyno and pulled my first run (78 degrees out). I forgot to take off traction control, and the car wouldn't get above 3000 rpm - no matter what I did. I felt so retarded, but after fixing that I made the first pull.
It was a less than spectacular max of 221.4 hp and 185.1 ft-lb of torque.....
I figured the heat soaked motor coming right out of traffic might have had something to do with it, so we waited 20 minutes for the car to cool down and tried again...
229.9 max hp and 193.9 max ft-lbs - with a torque curve so flat you could sleep on it! Fellas - I'm calling it 230.
I made my goal of 230 hp! Wahooooo!!!!!!!! I've gotta say there's nothing quite like the sound of a modified Type S motor on a dyno when it hits VTEC!
I'll post the dyno when I get a chance to scan it at work.
I'd like to thank John and the guys over at Titan Motorsports. They were really nice to a first-timer like me.
