Just got back from the dealer...gotta read

Oil Change
Tranny fluid change
Replaced front rotors
Replaced all 4 brake pads

All for the amazing price of $45...Woohoo.

I started to feel a slight vibration when I braked at high speed. Mentioned it to the service advisor and she said no problem, we'll take care of it.

Oh and the best part...for all you South Jersey/PA owners....Marty Sussman in Maple Shade, NJ is going to start carrying and installing Comptech very soon.

Seems that a certain Satin Silver TL dropped by quite a bit and they liked what the owner did so much, they decided to start selling and installing Comptech. :o

Oh, almost forgot, these were the guys that said no way to installing my headers and springs. Go figure.

That's good!! I got mine replaced when I was about 18K miles.

But I was wondering was your rotors really bad. Normally they just re-surface them instead of replacing.

Not at all. I only had 30,000 miles on them. But they replaced them anyway.

Walked over to the part dept. only to find oem brake pads for 53.50.

Do you work for Acura or did you use some sorta voucher to get that price?

I want

BTW ACURA Dealership is SCANDALOUS. Anyone know of any good ones in So Calif. area?

Im boycotting these dealerships:

1) Keyes Acura (van nuys) - Tryed to swindle my mother for 1700.
She took my car in for an oil change. Told her the comptech springs were
not made for our cars and that she
needed to purchase a brand new
front end ( shocks struts mounts etc)
I get home to see my car stock WITH
a 1700 invoice. Of course I had all
the stock parts sitting in my closet...
In a nutshell, MOM DUKES went back
PISSED! She got a refund on the
parts but they still charged her for
service, those F*KING as*h*leS!

2) Santa Monica Acura - 450 for an oilchange+brake pads `and I'd have to leave the car over the weekend with no loaner.
Decided to walk over to the parts dept. only to find out 53 bucks for the brake pads. So I go home and I do my first brake change
It takes 2 hours and i make only one mistake which is accidentally undoing one of my brake hoses. So besides the fact that I had to rebleed my brake lines everything went smooth. I saved $400 and 3 days worth of rental cars.

THESE DEALERSHIPS NOW A DAYS!!! I VE HAD FRIENDS GET CHARGED FOR SERVICE AND PARTS only to find they didnt replace a thing.

Recommended Dealer in LA

I have purchased three Acuras from Valencia Acura, Valencia, California. A 1998 CL 3.0, a 2001 MDX Navi, and most recently a 2003 TL-S Navi. I traded in the CL 3.0 for the MDX. I have been driving cars since 1959, and have owned many makes and models, and dealt with many dealerships. Valencia Acura was and is the absolute best dealership I have ever set foot in, IMHO. The owners, Don and Cheri Fleming, made me feel like I was dealing with family. And their service department has always charged a very fair and reasonable amount. Valencia is near Magic Mountain, and is roughly 30 miles from Downtown L.A. For service, I'd definitely give them a call to inquire on the costs and they might even provide a loaner. The phone number is 661 255-3000. And for those of you looking to buy an Acura, I'd also give them a call. I always got a great deal from them.

First off. Gawd damn this is an old post.

Second, no I am at 53K now, so no more warranty.

That does mean more modding without fear of warranty denial.
