Just curious....

I wasnt really sure where to post this (Im new to the site). Anyway, I've noticed alot of DIY threads that would be great except the the pictures are gone because the member is inactive. Really frustrating, I think I find a really good DIY, I click on it and all the pictures are gone. Is there something that can be done about it? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

There usually isnt any thing that can be done. Its where the user hosted the pics. Is there a specific DIY that your looking for help in?

There were several that I would have been interested in looking through but there was one about installing a spoiler. I just ordered one and it would have been nice to see the process, no big deal though, seems like a simple job and Im sure it comes with instructions. Love this site by the way!

I think RonA's been PM'ing/emailing people with DIYs to just sign into their account to activate the pics again. Maybe he'll stumble on the 2G DIY thread soon...

Must be talking about CHEWKNOW's spoiler install DIY. It had nice pics.

You can try this pdf. Pictures aren't that great, but all the instructions are there.

Oh thanks, Looks like a pretty simple job. I'll probably get sick to my stomach when I first touch the drill to the trunk lid.

It's normal. Took me a bit to pull the trigger on the drill.... Just make sure you do the pilot hole. Otherwise the bigger bit will wander.

And one more tip. I would get a small bottle of touch up paint and paint the insides of the drill holes. It'll prevent rusting if any water seeps through the pad.

Good tip, I wouldnt have thought of the touch up paint. Thanks, It will probably be a good week before it arrives as it gets painted before shipment. I'll post some pics when the job is done.

Also tape the trunk lid where you are drilling, after drilling run the drill from the other side to help clean any burs. And yes, get touchup paint and touch up the holes. Take your time and put a few coats on.
