Question Just curious...

I know everyone has formed their opinions about the new design. I am wondering when you all think that there will be cars on the lots for us to look at. I live in Mass, and there are no car shows close enough for me to see the pre-production model. I want to see it before I order it.
What do you think is a realistic time frame, considering orders will begin to arrive in March? I mean, when are there going to be 'extra' ones there (the new ones I mean)?
Also, as far as colors go, what are the chances that they will have others next year? I dont like all of the choices (with the particular interior. For example, I like the Agean Blue with parchment, not ebony.) that Acura has made. Do you think that they will wait for the redesign (whenever that is:'03, '04??) to release new colors? I currently have the fern interior, and I like that (or grey) the best but they discontinued it (anthracite w/ grey in a TL-S and I would buy right now). Any thoughts or opinions?
Sorry for the long post!

Ditto. Actually I like the Monterey Blue Pearl more than the 2 new blues.

Cool

Honestly, if the TL-S launch is anything like the CL-S launch (which it should be) there will be "extras" on the lot the day they come in. People put deposits down, but probably not as many as you think b/c not many people really know as much as we all do. The only thing is... those extra cars will be selling at MSRP. They also may not let you test drive one right away b/c they want to move them as quick as possible. That happened with the CL-S also, but give it a month or two and they'll gladly let you take the car out. I'm waiting till around May / June before I even go to the dealer. If the TL-S is marked up too much or they don't let me drive it, I'm still interested in the CL-S, so I'm happy either way!! Good Luck!!

Similar things happened to the (current gen.) Odyssey launch. I visited a Honda dealership and the salesman told me that there was no Odyssey available for test drive yet he wanted me to put money down. Basically I spent the next 10 minutes telling him to cut his BS stuff. Why should I give him any $ when I ccouldn't even test drive the car? Guess what, he called me back a few times within the next two days and told me that he "found" an Odyssey that I could test drive.

MSRP is only what the dealership wants. However you're the one with the $ to spend. Even selling at $1K above invoice they're making profits.
