Joining the "chipped" group
S*it!!!!!! I was stopped at a turn light on a "highway" (2 lane Farmroad type). Anyway, this dump truck whizzes by at about 60 and I notice something flying and then hear an awfully loud thump. Then I see this black rubber thing deflect off my car. When I had a chance to inspect the car, it now has about 6 deep chips/gouges that are down to the metal. That f*cker! To add insult to injury, he was going sooo fast and in the opposite direction, I did not get a chance to look for a trucking company name or license plate.
I guess I'll have to break out the touch up paint and "Langka".
Any other suggestions on how to repair this?

It seems the only safe place for our cars is in the garage. But wait! I was just told that the garage where I park my car is busting up concrete today. I rush over there and sure enough, the space right next to mine has two holes in the concrete down to the rebar. My car is covered in concrete dust and has a thousand concrete "splatters" on the driver's side. I inspect the car as best as I can in the dim light and get it the hell out of there. So far I can see no damage, but I will have to be extra carefull the next time I wash it.
No notice. No note on the windshield to tell me that they would be working next to my car on 8/15/01. The world is filled with inconsiderate a$$holes and there is nothing that can be done about it.

Just ordered some of this stuff today (Toughguard Paint Protection System), after talking to the owner and reading through the testimonials. I was planning not to post anything until after I've tried it.....but I'll give you the URL now in the event you want to check it out.
Some clients feel that this paint protection system has even saved it from chips.....that would have been nice for me today!
Here's the URL:
