Joined the tranny club
(I haven't posted in probably a year or more.. so 'hi' everyone)
I joined the tranny club last week. Had been slipping between 2nd and 3rd for a long time, but merging on to the tollway last week it slipped like it didn't want to go into gear. About 60 secs later, CHECK ENGINE.
Drove it to the Acura dealer and dropped it off. They diagnosed it and replaced tranny, ECU, and fuel pump regulator. All under warranty, done in 3 days.
And I got a 330i to play with for those 3 days
The best part: 92k miles
The new tranny seems great. It shifts FIRMLY between 2nd and 3rd now under moderate acceleration (which I love). I do notice it 'chirps' on that transition. Not worried about it; probably just breaking in. It doesn't do it every shift.
Anyway, there ya go. Pretty pleased with the whole experience to be honest. Brand new transmission at 92k miles? None of my friends can believe it.

After a few days, I was missing my TL. The 330i felt a bit 'darty' when cruising on the expressway; it seemed to require a higher level of concentration.
Also, the 3-series is SMALL. This was a four-door, but my family and I really had to cram ourselves in there.
