I need your opinions!

Okay, after having 3 trannies fail on me and filing 2 complaints with BBB. Acura finally said "okay, we'll replace your car". But heres the thing though, they are charging me a usage fee of $3835 if I do the car replacement! that $3835 will get me into a Brand new 04 TL non-navi.
He said they took off $1500 for customer satisfaction. I will not need to pay tax on the new car, I will get the new tl straight up for $3835 with my remaining balance of whatever i financed. What are your guys thought on this? should i take up on this or no?

Hell No!!! unless you get a stick!!! after 4 tranny replacements myself I have NO faith in any auto tranny mated to a H/Output engine(some GMs excluded)and yes I have a demand letter out to AHM.
Also make sure to point out to them that you saved them atleast 5k by not using a lawyer if not pointed out already.
with that aside its sounds like you have a good deal going on the 04,good luck.

I think you are getting a pretty good deal. As it's been pointed out, mention not using a lawer + all the time you spent dealing with the troubled car (possibly hurting your income, as you had to take time off). Anyhow, try to get into a new car without shelling out a single penny

uhh ya the 04s are being recalled also!(only the first few 10s of thousands but probably will be broadened basted soley on my experiances w/ the previous gen with what is seeming to be the exact same tranny in it) thats why I say "no auto".
Trust, to me, is built slowly and lost very quickly, right now I have no trust in Acura's autos. Why do you(if you do)?

Just get the 04 its nicer and you start off with a new clean car, every car now a days has its problems. One question do you drive your car hard cause that could be part of why your tranny went bad so quickly and so many times On a side note are you willing to sell your icebox? Also I can sell you my stock side skirts so you can sell your full body for some extra cash? Just a thought cause i would take all the mods off teh vehicle before turning it in.

to be honest.... i dont really drive my car hard! i mean i'll gass it once in a while! but i don't race or anything like that.
and yeah, i'll sell my ice box! and thanks for the offer for the sideskirts. but they're going with the car! bcuz the deal wit acura is whatever i have on the 03, I will get for the 04. free of charge. which is the whole oem body kit, the spoiler and the roof visor n shit like dat! yup! I think im going to go with 6mt.

what are your guys thought on the 04 tl 6mt???

personally...if there are no other stipulations, i would probably take the deal, turn right around and sell it!

Wise choice. That's the only way I'll go if Acura is interested in keeping me in their brand.When we get to that point.

There may be a lock of some kind like preventing him from selling. I know Ferrari did it with the F50. Even though you paid for it, it's still their car, and you cannot sell.

Also, he said 3835 PLUS the remainder of the amount he financed on the '03. He's not getting a new car for only 3835.
